Dad has been slowing down today. His breathing is irregular and his pulse is quicker. His heart rate is normal but you can tell that things are changing for him. He is not in any pain and he has been surrounded by family all day. The staff comes by to check on him every hour and every two hours they come in and change his position. He is warm and comfortable and nearing the end of his life here on this earth. Pastor Everson stopped by and offered a prayer. The Care Center musician stopped in and played some music on his guitar. He even told some Ole and Lena jokes. It has been a quiet and peaceful day for dad. They are taking excellent care of him and the staff has been wonderful to all of us. Bringing coffee, food, water, whatever we need. Steve flew in last night and spent time with all of us at the hospital today.
And now we wait.

Please know that you and your family are in my prayers. Bonnie was a school friend of mine and I would appreciate it if you would let her know that she is in my thoughts and prayers as well. My name is Barb (Aamot) Tietz. Bonnie and I graduated from Elbow Lake High school together.
