Joy

You may think "Joy" a strange title for this blog since it is the day of dad's funeral. But Joy was everywhere today. Pastor Everson gave an inspired sermon about living life to the fullest and finding joy. Dad was an amazing example of these qualities. It is good to be in a place where we can grieve and cry and still find hope and joy. The church was filled to the brim with friends and family to celebrate the life of Marland Mieska. There were aunts, uncles, cousins, neighbors, old friends, and new friends. Mom was uplifted by the presence of so many people there to support her and offer their love. We are truly blessed by all who were there in person and those who were with us in spirit. God is big.
