Charleston
here's a couple of pictures from Charleston if you can download to the blog...gives an idea of how lovely it is. Everything was blooming and the picture of me was taken during the only 10 minutes my hair wasn't a curly mess from the humidity! One More Time--
Hey, This will be it for awhile. I'm flying home to Minnesota this next Tuesday and I'm anxious to be home.
I know the weather will not be the greatest, but I'm from Minnesota, and I've learned how to adjust to any kind of weather. You know the old saying " If you don't like the weather in Minnesota, stick around for 15 minutes and it will change". I'll be back with my family so I don't need to report my daily life.
This has been a good week. I went to church on Sunday, went to Maier's for cocktails on Monday, helped with the Tuesday Night Dinner Show on Tuesday and also attended a surprise 80th birthday party for my friend, Jean Pagano
Wednesday I had a cocktail party for Hannah's, Maier's and MiClish-Blake's. Thursday and Friday I concentrated on packing my suitcases and doing some cleaning in the house.
Saturday morning Darrell & Julie Wise took me to breakfast at The Cozy Corner Cafe. I remember back many years ago when there was a Cozy Corner Cafe in Elbow Lake, Minnesota. That was a long time ago. Saturday evening I was invited to dinner at Mic & Harriett's.
This is Sunday and I went to Palm Sunday services at church. This evening I'm invited for dinner to Ed & Norine's.
Tomorrow evening I'm invited to Alice Gidych's for dinner. I've almost forgotten how to cook!! Friends are wonderful.
Tuesday at 10"30 a.m. my neighbor is picking me up to take me to the airport where I will fly home to Minnesota. Good friends, Rob & Judy King Harvey will pick me up and take me to Northfield.
This will be good-bye for awhile. Stayed tuned for an occasional picture or comment from Sue during the summer. Heather & Sean will be married in Fort Atkinson, Wi. April 18 so there may be some pictures posted from that.
Until next fall, Peace and Love, LaVerne
