Dad is happy to be home

Dad got home this afternoon around 3pm and has been sitting in his recliner ever since. He appears very happy to be home. It is a beautiful day and he commented on the nice weather when they got him out of the transport van. He still won't eat, but he will drink water. He looks much better than he has in days. Mom too is quite happy to be home. Steve, Peggy and Jere arrived this afternoon so there are plenty of people around to keep him company. We set up a hospital bed for him in the guest room so he can be more comfortable. The Hospice nurse stopped by today to check on him and will be back again on Monday. He is on oxygen and continues the meds for the swelling in his brain. These meds also make it easier to breath. He still reports no pain and has had short conversations with Don Docken and with his minister. It's been a good day.
