Back in the hospital

Dad went back into the hospital yesterday. He had not been feeling good for several days and we took him to the ER yesterday. They did a chest x-ray and found pnenomia. His oxygen levels were pretty low (80) and he was very lethargic and weak. They have him on a saline drip with some steroids, antibiodics and potassium. He has no appetite and is pretty sleepy. He did watch the baseball game last night and was going to watch the the football game today. That is about the only thing that he is interested in. He was pretty depressed and has lost his spirit to fight. Hopefully he will start feeling better soon and perk up a little. He had visits today from Duane (his minister frient) and Judy (his chemo nurse) and they were going to try to persuade him to get in the fighting mood again. We are not sure when they will discharge him. He's pretty weak at this point.
We will keep you updated as things change.

This is a tough enemy. It is difficult, I'm sure, to keep up the fight all the time. I hope his mood will change when he gets some strength back. Meanwhile, our love and prayers are sent to support all of you there.

We're pulling for you, Marland!!
love, Rynda
