Dad Update January 16

Dad completed his second round of chemo on Friday. He had an injection on Saturday that will hopefully increase his white blood cell count. He'll see Dr. Flynn this coming Wednesday to get an update on how things are going. He is pretty tired and understandably depressed. He didn't feel very good yesterday but mom says he is feeling a bit better today. He reports that food tastes like sandpaper and he hasn't had much of an appetite. Most of his hair is gone from his head so he wears the stocking cap all of the time. Things should perk up a little over the next week or so as he regains some of his strength. The cumulative effect of chemo will takes its toll however. Things will get worse before they get better as he continues treatment. He is watching sports on tv and enjoys getting phone calls.
