Arizona Update

Hello again

It's been 2 weeks since I wrote because I had company last week. Jesse & Ben spent 5 days with me and we had a great time. We didn't do lots of exciting things but I just enjoyed their company. The weather left a little bit to be desired but they didn't complain because it was better than what they had left at home. In fact, they were sitting out on my patio in their shirt sleeves and I had on a heavy jacket. I guess my blood is thinner than theirs from being down here so long. I met them at the airport early Thursday afternoon and the time just flew by.

We tooled around in the golf cart to check out all the amenities and then I told them that they were on their own and could come and go as they liked. One things that they always did was go up to the hot tub every evening. We went to the Boyce Thompson Arboretum one day and hiked for a mile and a half. It was too early for many flowers to be blooming but there was lots to see.

Sunday we went to Target so they could pick out a new TV for me. My kids thought it was inconceivable of me not to have a DVD player so they had Jesse & Ben pick out one for me that had a DVD player in it. My 2 TV's were too old to handle one. I now have the old one in my bedroom and I find myself watching it at 4 a.m. when I can't sleep!! I don't know if that's good or bad. My 4 kids gave it to me for my birthday so that was a nice gift.

Yes, I had another birthday on Friday and Jesse & Ben took me to dinner at Outback as a gift to me. Thank you Jesse & Ben. I had cards from lots of people and phone calls from lots of people. My grandchildren seem to care about me cause they all called or sent emails or cards. What a great bunch of kids I have.

Ed & Norine had me for dinner on the actual day of my birthday. They are 2 very special friends.
All in all, it's been a good 2 weeks and I'll catch up with you next week.
