It's Sunday Again!!!

Hi Friends,

Where does the time go? This week went fast. The end of February is upon us. Does that mean the spring is soon to come? I think the folks up north would like to see that happen sooner rather than later. It's been a really COLD winter up there. It's been cool here a lot of the time also.

Sunday was church and then in the evening I attended the Minnesota picnic here at Viewpoint. There were close to 300 hungry people there. The food was delicious and plenty of it. Potluck is always a success.

Monday I stuffed envelopes at my church. That's always my favorite night for TV so I watched Two and a Half Men and The New Adventures of Old Christine.

Tuesday night I served food at the dinner show.

Wednesday morning was Lenten services at church and then went to dinner with Ed & Norine. It was my birthday so I received calls or emails from all of my kids and most of my grandkids. I was even serenaded with the birthday song by 2 little boys from Council Bluffs!! What a thrill. I had calls from sister-in-laws and friends. Cards and flowers and gifts--I felt very special. Thanks to all of you.

Thursday evening I entertained Ron & Pat Poole and Darrell & Julie Wise. Ron had helped me by trying to repair my garbage disposal and then later taking it out cause it was beyond repair so I needed to show my appreciation.

Friday I helped serve at the 50th wedding anniversary party. It was 9 years ago that Marland & I were eligible to attend that celebration. Memories!!!

Saturday I worked at the softball concession stand. I was scheduled to work 2 hours but we were so busy I stayed for 3 1/2 hours. It was kind of fun to see all the people that I haven't seen for a long time.

Today was church and then I went up to watch the ball games again. I still enjoy watching all these older guys having fun. It was something that Marland lived and breathed for.

Tonight I'll watch Barbara Walters show and then the Oscars. I'm filling up with Airbourne to ward off a cold that I think is trying to get hold of me. Wish me luck.

Until next Sunday--Love, LaVerne
