Good Morning,
Another week has gone by and February is right around the corner. The weather down here is getting nicer and I'm hoping that it will be rally warm when Jesse & Ben come for their visit in February.
Monday evening I went to the movie, "Gran Torino". It was very good because Clint Eastwood was in it but I don't understand why there has to be so much vulgar language. I guess that's the way of the gang world. I know I'm old fashioned!!
We had our 11th street block party on Tuesday but I wasn't very excited about it. I did go for a short time but I spent must of the day glued to the TV watching the Inauguration. It was impressive.
My niece, Vicki and her husband, Herb, spent Wednesday afternoon with me. We spent 4 hours remembering old times. It was a good day.
Thursday I was invited to attend a pizza party for Marland's old softball team. I've been going to watch them play once a week so they let me tag along. It's nice of them.
Saturday evening I helped usher at the ballroom for the John Davidson concert. He had been here 4 years ago and now, he seemed to have a much better show. He has a beautiful voice and the rafters rang with his volume. Many of you young kids won't remember him but he had a TV show and Marland & I used to watch it much of the time. He is 67 years old now but still has a great voce. I enjoyed it a lot.
Tonight I'm planning to watch "The Hallmark Hall of Fame" show which is always good.
Until next week, Love, LaVerne
