Hello from Arizona,
I'm back at Viewpoint and after 2 weeks of getting settled I'm ready for whatever comes my way. I had thought I wouldn't write this blog this year but I guess some of the people that read it want to keep tabs on me. I think it must be very boring to read about my life but they have the option of tuning me out. Anyway, here goes:
Ed & Norine picked me up at the airport on Saturday, October 18 and brought me home. They had just gotten here the day before so we stopped on the way home and had some dinner. Then they helped me turn on the water and the electricity and I was on my own. It had been a long day so after a couple of hours of sorting through things, I was tired and went to bed. This was at 8 p.m. The time change caught up with me and I woke up at 3 a.m. and couldn't get back to sleep so I got up and worked until 6 a.m. and then went
back to sleep for an hour! Call me crazy!!
Monday morning the crew came to wash and wax the outside of the house, They also washed all the windows on the outside. I had to do the inside myself. That was always Marland's job so once again I was left holding the bag! Next came the crew to clean the carpet--it was DIRTY. When that dried, I polished all the furniture and it left the house smelling really fresh and good.
Ed & Norine had me over for dinner one evening and Norine also took me shopping for groceries. At that point, I wasn't too sure how my car was going to run but it ended up in good shape. I do need new tires but guess I'll wait until after Christmas to get new ones OR until I have a flat tire on the busy streets!! That I would not like.
All the activities start in the park this week so I hope to get involved very soon. Annie: I have been to the pool 3 times and the water is like bath water. Very good. She has been very concerned that I get up there so now I can tell her that I have done that..
Bethanie has been a sweetheart--I've heard from her twice already via email. I guess she knows I am lonesome. Thank you. I'm open to hearing from any and all of you that read this blog. Just like the telephone--it works both ways. In case some of you don't know my email address, here it is: mlmieska@aol.com
Next week should be more interesting.
Love, LaVerne
