Hi, Sue & All the Mieskas!

I was just on the phone with a friend from Mesa, and as I viewed the photos of LaVerne & Marland on your family bolg, I told her the story of when we first moved to Mesa. Charlie was in 2nd grade, and when he heard that Uncle Marland played on a softball team, his face lit up and he said, "I know where I'm going to retire...where Uncle Marland lives!" And when he returns from Iraq (by Christmas--hooray!), he's already making plans to head for Mesa for New Years. I'll remind him that there's that happenin' joint down on University that hosts some pretty sweet New Year's Eve parties. Maybe Aunt LaVerne will save a dance for him!Love y'all,Jane
