Mom's update March 26

Hi Ya'll,

I like the way Loriann says that word so I'm going to try it. I realize I'm not from the south but I'll try it anyway!

This has been a slow week but a very good week and a big surprise. I received a call from Barbara & Gene Schuler that they were coming but I didn't realize it would be so soon. Barb called me Thursday morning and said they were at Wally & Ruth's and would I like to ride along to the Globe Indian reservation. I was so excited to see them and even though casinos are not my favorite place to go, I quickly said yes. We had a great conversation on the way up( it was a 1 1/2 hour drive) and I got to hear all the news about Rebekah and saw the snaphots of her. She is a doll-so very cute. We spent a few hours up there and then had another interesting ride home. The mountains are so beautiful on that drive. Saturday Barb & Gene took me to a lovely restaurant for dinner and we had another great visit. Barb is my niece and many years ago she and Vicki spent a few months living with us. They were on their way home from visiting Herb & Vicki in Texas. Special people and family, too.

My good friends, Joyce & Richard Jones and Art & Arelene Martin left for their homes in Oregon and Washington on Tuesday so I had them over for a cocktail Monday afternoon. It was hard for me to see them leave cause they have been so good to me this winter.

Josh called me one evening and we had a great visit. He tells me that Whitney has just received another promotion with Target. Congratulation Whitney. We're all proud of you. She is a gal that loves to study and it has paid off. Thanks for the phone call, Josh.


Tuesday I helped serve the dinner show to 650 people. It is always fun to do that occasionally cause you get to see lots of people that you know and never see otherwise.

Thursday I attended the last concert of the season and it was a very good show. A Canadian threesome that
sang and tap danced and played several instruments. Good show.

That's it for this week. Renie Hall comes this week to stay for a few days so I'll be busy.

Tonight I'm entertaining 2 couple for cocktails and dinner. Very soon now lots of people will be leaving for their summer homes so the park will be pretty quiet. That will give me plenty of time to walk and spend time at the pool.
