Still moving on...
The travelers made it to Omaha today and will stay there with Steve and Peggy until Sunday. They hope to be home in Northfield in time for the weekly family dinner at 5:30pm Sunday. All reports are positive (except that Dad can't understand why a hotel would cost more than $40 a night. He says he just wants to rent a room, not buy the hotel!) Anyway, aside from Mr. Tightwad the trip has been good. He must be feeling ok if he can still complain about spending money. Like mom says, You can always tell a German, but you can't tell him much.

We spent Saturday at Steve & Peggy's, watching Luke take ice skating lessons, stopping at the new Casino (Dad bought lunch!)and doing a little shopping. It was a beautiful sunny spring day in Council Bluffs. Sunday morning is starting out gray and wet...looks to be that way all day....we're going to Gina's for breakfast before heading north.
sorry i missed you all while you were in town. i was busy playing golf, and getting a sunburn in the ozarks where it was sunny and 80 degrees!!
glad the trip went well, and glad everyone is feeling well. we'll see you all in june for the cubs/twins series.
