Fun in the Sun

Dad, mom and Bonnie are all in Mesa enjoying the warm weather and sunshine. They have been very busy seeing friends and eating all of the food everyone has been bringing over. So far dad has felt pretty good and is working on his tan. They will head out for Minnesota this coming Wednesday and plan to be back in the cold and snow by Sunday. Dad will then have his LAST chemo treatment and hopefully be done with that treatment. I don't think he is a candidate for radiation. Anyway, dad says "thanks" to all the people who are visiting, calling and sending cards. It cheers him up. It seems like he is his old self while in Mesa. He's very happy to have made the trip.

What joy to see Marlin and Laverne at Viewpoint. I know Marlin misses softball, but we miss him more. We continue to pray for a complete recovery.

I am watching the weather (Winslow,AZ, Gallup, NM) as Bonnie, LaVerne and Marland make their way north. Hope they are pacing it in a relaxing manner. I've driven through snow flurries in Gallup on a return from Minnesota, but in a hurry to get "home" to Mesa. I think Maria and I made it to Guyman, Oklahoma on our first day on one of our trips, but it gets tiring. Tell them I'm following them every mile of their journey and asking God to go with them on those back roads! Are they planning to go through Omaha and stop at Steve and Peggy's?
Lot's of love,
Jane
