Mom's week

Sunday is Blog Day

This has been a slow week- not much happening.

Sunday church and then watched a couple of DVD's

Monday & Tuesday were very quiet.

Wednesday the park put on a All Park Hamburger Party. A hamburger, beans, and cole slaw for $3.00 They hired a really good band and there was dancing in the street up by the post office(for those of you who have been here). They had never done it before so didn't know what to expect. They had a HUGE crowd-ran out of everything and had to go to the store for replenishing the goodies. Next year they will know more about how to do things!!

Thursday afternoon 7 of us went up to Terrace Green (the restaurant here) and had chips & salsa and drinks were half price. I had just had a tooth extracted so couldn't eat anything but I enjoyed 2 margarita's!! That helped the pain for a little while!! That evening The Good Time Singers from here in the park performed a really cute skit and lots of singing. Very enjoyable.

Friday Viewpoint had their annual quilt show. I believe there were about 100 quilts on display. They are really beautiful. Not for sale-just to look at. I don't think I would ever want to sell anything that I made that was that beautiful.

Saturday was the last day of the softball season and I watched several games. No more until next December. The concession stand did a band up business.

Today was church and then I met Arden & Doris Caldwell and Bill & Donna Adams for breadfast. They are all from Minnesota and will be going home soon so it was a last chance to see them until next fall.

Tonight I am invited to Tony & Jean Pagano's for Italian spaghetti. With a name like Pagano, you know the spaghetti will be GREAT.

This next week my calendar is full. The going home parties are starting! I'll have mine Wednesday.

Someday I'll tell you about my tooth extraction!! It's been 10 days and I'm still using Tylenol & Ibuprophen.
Hope it gets better pretty soon.

Love, LaVerne
