Post from mom

Hi family & friends,

I had a great phone visit with Heather this week and she tells me that she misses my news from the blog. I think it is boring for me to write what I am doing but if you want to read about me then I guess I can bore you occasionally!! I won't promise to do this often but I think if it is something you would like to know, then I'll bore you.

I spent 3 weeks in Minnesota at Christmas and had a really good time. I got to spend time with my 2 newest great granddaughters, Claire Elizabeth Docken, and Everleigh Drew Ketcher. They are precious. Now I am awaiting the arrival of Broden Riley Park any day, and later in February, Baby Mieska. Then in late April, Baby Swenson, That will be 13 greats for me. Wow! What a family. I am truly blessed.

While I was home, I was able to see all the Minnesota families and that was great. My kids had a SURPRISE 80th birthday party for me. I was invited to have lunch at Bonnie's one Sunday to see Scott, Ami & Everleigh before they left to spend Christmas in Chicago with Ami's family. Knowing me, I was 20 minutes early so some of the folks were not there yet for the surprise. I guess I will not live that down for awhile. I had a great time and got to visit with old friends that I hadn't seen for awhile.

Since I've gotten back to Arizona, I've been busy. I still usher for the concerts and take tickets for the weekly dinner shows. I attend aerobics 3 times a week and still walk twice a day.

Vicki & Herb Hobbs, my niece and her husband, are spending the month of January down here so I've spent some time with them. I had them over for dinner and they took me out for pizza. She has helped me learn a few things about facebook. Sue got me started in that and I'm enjoying reading about things my family and friends are doing. Vicki and I have caught up on family news.

This Wednesday, January 27, I will be picking up Steve & Peggy from the airport. They are cominig for a visit and I'm excited. I'm a little lonesome. We will drive up to Sedona and Flagstaff for a couple of days and that will be fun. Their visit will be much too short but better than nothing.

Till next time, Love, LaVerne
