Tuesday will be the 3rd anniversary of dad's death. I think it is important to keep his memory alive. Feel free to send me something to post about dad/grandpa.
I wonder what he would have though about Bret Favre. I know he would have been happy about our winning season. He was, after all, a fair weather fan. He loved them when they were winning and not so much when they were losing. It would have been fun to watch the games this season with him. Whatever you think about Favre and the Vikings, you have to admit it would have been fun to see dad enjoying this season. On the baseball side I'm pretty sure he would not have been rooting for the Yankees.

I'm pretty sure dad would have been very pleased with the Twins season and wouldn't it have been great to take in a ballgame at the new stadium? About a year before he got sick, greg gave me 2 tickets to a Twins game and I took dad. It seemed strange to take charge of the parking and the logistics with my own dad, but we had a great time. I think he may have even bought me a popcorn or something! But he loved watching the game in person. So glad I took him that day.
still think of his chiding us to "get them kind".....I think that's why we all tend to give it our all in what we do...bonnie
