Mom's blog 1.27.08

Hi Folks!

It's a rainy Sunday afternoon. Normally I would be up at the ball park watching some of the games but the games were canceled so--

I went to the concert "The Lettermen" on Sunday evening and they were as good as they had been 30 years ago. They sang all the songs they are famous for and quite a few more. I really enjoyed every minute of it.

Norine and I went to the movie "The Bucket List" on Monday and it was very good. For those of you who are wondering--Patricia Blomquist was the friend I went to and saw "The Great Debaters".

Thursday, Ralph & Joanne Soelzer and Shirley Knowlton and I had lunch at "Chen's Chinese restaurant. I saw in the paper on Wednesday that it was National Pie Day so I baked a lemon pie in the morning and when we came home from the lunch, we had pie and coffee at my house.

Went to the band concert on Friday evening---watched a couple of ball games on Saturday--went to church this morning--will attend the choir concert this evening after I've had dinner with Ed & Norine.

That takes care of my not very exciting week. This next week looks, according my calendar, a little bit more interesting!

Love, LaVerne

Wow, if all those activities add up to a non-interesting week, I don't know what you'd think about our social life! :)

Sounds like you're having a nice time down there. I'll look forward to reading your blog next week, after this interesting week. :)

Take care,
Love,
Whitney

I agree with Whitney on that. Grandma, your life is way more interesting than mine and you certainly are more active than I am. Keep up the fun:)
Love you,
Bethanie
